Synopsis
Sentinels of the Wind follows a campaign from the study of Laura Gangoso, a biologist dedicated to researching the falcon population of Eleonor de Alegranza, a remote islet located north of the Canary Islands.
Over more than 17 years studying this population, Laura has discovered that the Alegranza falcons are synchronized with the trade winds, on which they depend to survive. Their work links chicken survival to changes in wind patterns on a global scale, turning them into bioindicators of climate change. After the screening we will have a meeting with the director.

The filmmakers hoped to one day witness the volcano erupt from their home in La Palma, in the Canary Islands. Little did they know that it would start just two kilometers from their friends' house. The voice messages exchanged on WhatsApp are complemented by images shot on the island, revealing a tragic but eminently dazzling and hypnotic phenomenon.
