MEETINGS WITH PROFESSIONALS FICL 2025
Promotion of Talent and Presence of Artistic Teams
The Lanzarote International Film Festival (FICL) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting cinematic talent, fostering a space for meeting and exchange among audiovisual professionals both nationally and internationally. Throughout its latest edition, the festival saw the active participation of artistic and technical teams, enriching the experience for both audiences and filmmakers through screenings, presentations, conferences, and professional networking events.
One of the highlights was the Professional Encounters, held at the El Almacén Cultural Innovation Center and moderated by José Fernández, deputy director of the Culture section of TVE's news programs. This forum established itself as an essential point of discussion for addressing the main challenges of the audiovisual sector, covering current topics such as the impact of streaming platforms, sustainability in filming, the emergence of artificial intelligence in audiovisual creation, and diversity in the film industry.
In particular, the festival maintained its commitment to local talent, prioritizing the presence of creators, artists, and researchers from the Canary Islands, who actively participated in roundtables, screenings, project presentations, and training activities. In this way, FICL continues to be a platform for showcasing the creative richness of the Canary Islands and fostering dialogue between established professionals and new generations of filmmakers.
