As part of the 2019 Lanzarote International Film Festival, we have organised two talks with professionals from the film industry. The events will take place on Friday 17th May. Free entry, provided there are places available.
The first talk will take place in CIC El Almacén at 6 p.m. and will feature actor and musician Fran Perea. At the meeting, Fran will present his new book “Viaja la palabra”, and talk about this book and what led him to write it. At the end of the talk, he will be signing books.
This book is part of a double project that includes the book and a new album release by the same name. He tells us how he faces the creative process for all of his songs and where he also assesses some of his experiences throughout his career.
At 8 p.m, there is a second event with professionals at the Pancho Lasso Art School. This time around, we will have Maribel Verdú, a Spanish actress winner of two Goya Awards, of the Spanish National Cinematography Award, and the Ariel Award in Mexico. We will also have Antonio Velázquez, whom we have seen him acting in TV series like: “SMS”, “Sin tetas no hay paraíso” and “En Tierra de Lobos”, and in films like “Tengo ganas de ti” and “Mi gran noche”, Eva Llorach is a theatre, cinema and television actress who recently won the 2019 Goya Award for Best Newcomer. Also, Daniel Grao, who has performed in movies such as Palm trees in the Snow or “Di que sí – Say I do” and also in TV series like “El Comisario”, “Hospital Central” and Cathedral of the sea.
The conference will be conducted by José Fernández, journalist specialised in cinema and coordinator of the FICL19 jury.
The topic of this event will be: “Highlights and Lowlights. Hiccups throughout the career of an actor”. We will talk with our experts about uncertainty in the industry of what happens in between shootings, about castings, etc. At the end, the attendees will be able to ask questions about their day to day in their careers.
